What was the highlight of W Doha Hotel

A fabulous hotel

The W is a luxurious hotel in a great location - a few minutes walk from a large shopping mall and the corniche and a short taxi ride to most other attractions. The service is impeccable and I was made to feel very welcome on arrival. In particular, Tunc on reception went above and beyond to arrange a late checkout for me which made such a difference on my last day. I was also provided with a lovely welcome drink on arrival. I ate in La Spiga restaurant where the food, wine and service (provided by Sahbi) was fantastic. Sahbi recommended a dish for me (pasta with clams) as I was undecided, and it was absolutely delicious. The second night I ordered room service. The food was very good and Munshi provided friendly service. The lap pool is pleasant and I was the only one using it on the Saturday afternoon. I was on the 9th floor and had great views. I'll definitely stay in the W should I stop over in Doha again.

The air-con was loud.

We got upgraded to the Wow suite for my 40th birthday what an awesome surprise. The staff were so attentive and happy to help. The breakfast was delicious and very good central location.

Very Good

The staff were super welcoming and they put effort to make me happy

I paid for sea view room but they gave me a partial sea view room. I complained and got an upgrade to a full sea view suite. The room was amazing but someone had smoked in it and it smelled bad.

The spot with the action

Centrally located / middle of all the action, lovely customer service and very attentive to your needs and feedback, they made sure I move to another room the moment I complained about the room amenities / big size, they also bribed me with some lovely cake / treats / apology note so couldn’t say a word :) (credit was due) breakfast was good and they were kind enough to allow me to have a take away box for snacks and bites for later, loved the free Vallet and parking , cool corner suite was lovely with the sea view / pool view, room was nicely designed and pleasing ,

It gets quite busy sometimes in the lobby / Vallet because of the restaurant and bars, room was sea view but lower flower so the swimming pool fountain gets very noisy and you would lose sleep, rooms lighting and entertainment system is abit outdated and tv is small with a tiny remote / slow and settings in Russian with limited channels to enjoy , very basic ac system it’s either on (very noisy) or off (gets hot) so you have to balance between comfort / noise( there is no auto on /off mode) which can’t be resolved by the hotel for obvious reasons, as the suite is fully windowed it would be better if there is a one button switch to open the curtain / blinds rather than manually doing it in the evening / night for some privacy, restaurants / menu is abit pricey (for example I paid the same amount of my room booking just for using room service and restaurants on site, hotel guests should get discounts from hotel spa / restaurants and partner restaurants , spa is pricey a basic 30 minute massage will set you back 500-600 QR (the cheapest option) (150-170$), swimming pool was rather small and no beach access (partner facility available at a cost) pool had also limited sun / sun bathing space, this is expected as it is not a resort

It was pretty decent.

The A/C cooled the room properly. Bed was comfortable. Toiletries were very nice as well. Nice windows for natural lighting.

Views were not good in the rooms. Also no muslim shower in the bathrooms.

Poor customer service, ac is not working properly, I ordered twice room service and in both order essentials are missing, ignore my request to reserve a tax to the airport which caused me a delay and rush to reach my returning trip

Very friendly staff who was always willing to help! We asked for a (very) late check out and it was approved immediately! Probably not the "coolest" W hotel in terms of design but still amazing!!

Great bed to sleep in! Spotless clean, warm welcome but without exaggeration, fully equipped gym. Best place I have been in Doha so far.

In-room dining breakfast was rather bland for a 5 star hotel. Options were very limited and not too great. I have had breakfast at W Cafe before and by all means it is no match.

Great honeymoon

Loved that they upgraded us to a suite due to it being our honeymoon. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff were so hospitable and listened to all our requests. We loved the little things they did to make us feel welcome. Personally delivering us a honeymoon cake. The food at Spice market was spectacular and the room service menu had alot to choose from. The room service was very quick. Will definitely need to come again.

Exceptional front desk and a true 5 star hotel. The suites are particularly impressive.

The front desk staff were particularly professional and charming. The manager of the Market restaurant was also very professional and the food was excellent. I do not say these things very often.

The place to be!!!

Its the place to be, I loved every single bit of my stay especially the night duty manager that night whom warmly welcomed me. I would defiantly come back to explore this superior hotel in depth.
